The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, announces a public hearing to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Thursday, January 19, 2017, starting at 5 p.m.
PLACE: Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida 34982.

Project Description: Midway Road/County Road (CR) 712 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study, from Glades Cut Off Road to Selvitz Road, in St. Lucie County.
The purpose of this project is to evaluate the need to provide additional capacity to meet existing and future needs; to allow opportunities for pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit facilities; to improve freight movement; and to enhance emergency evacuation.
The purpose of this hearing to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. The meeting will start at 5 p.m. as an informal open house. A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a comment period. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss the study, ask questions, and provide formal comments on the potential improvements. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Project documents will be available for public review December 29, 2016 through January 30, 2017, during regular business hours at the Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982 and the St. Lucie County Library, Port St. Lucie Branch, 180 SW Prima Vista Boulevard, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
