Summary
The proposed rule amendment would adjust season dates to conform to calendar year changes and revise specific area regulations on miscellaneous areas as follows:
Babcock Ranch Preserve – revise area rules to facilitate the Florida Forest Service becoming the lead managing agency for the property and will assume responsibility for managing the area with the Commission as cooperator; allow wild hogs to be dismembered prior to being checked at the check station in the Tier I hunt area; establish rules for the Tier II hunt area consistent with the previous land manager’s hunting program; and authorize the Florida Forest Service to conduct Operation Outdoor Freedom programs that may include hunting and fishing on the lands outside of the Tier I and Tier II areas.
Additionally, the proposed rule amendment would provide non-substantive technical changes, such as grammatical corrections, language standardization, or clarification of an existing rule.
