FDOT will hold an alternatives public meeting to provide information about the proposed improvements to US 41 from Ringling Boulevard to Main Street. The meeting will be an open house format with a continuous video presentation. People attending the meeting may review project displays and aerial photographs, and speak one-on-one with project team members. Complimentary parking is located under the hotel parking garage and directly behind the hotel. The department sent notices to all property owners located within 500 feet on either side of the US 41 project limits, as well as any other interested persons. The meeting is developed in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
