An event to celebrate the purchase of the Silver Springs Forest property, followed by a tour of the property. The purchase of this property will allow for hydrologic restoration that will result in water quality improvement, will create opportunities for water storage, and will create a linkage with other public lands. NOTE: Although prior notification is not required, attendees who wish to attend the celebration and/or participate in the tour are asked to notify Teresa Monson at (904)730-6258, or by email at tmonson@sjrwmd.com in advance of the celebration to allow for better capacity planning. NOTE: One or more members of the District’s Governing Board, the Marion County Commission, and elected officials from the City of Ocala may be in attendance.
