The Osceola County Department of Transportation and Transit invites all persons to a public hearing for the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for Simpson Road from US 192 to 560’ south of Myers Road in Osceola County (PS Number: 18-9906-DG, EDTM #14403). The hearing is being conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements.
Beginning at 6 p.m., representatives will be available to discuss the project one-on-one. Boards, exhibits, a PowerPoint presentation, and other project-related displays will be available. At 6:45 p.m., Osceola County will hold the formal portion of the public hearing, which will include an opportunity to offer verbal comments. Following the formal portion of the hearing, the informal open house will resume. A court reporter will be present to record the proceedings, and assist the public with verbal comments. Written comments can be submitted at the hearing, mailed to Mr. Joshua DeVries, AICP, Director of Planning/Senior Planner, Department of Transit and Transportation, Osceola County, 1 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee, Florida 34741, or emailed to Joshua.DeVries@osceola.org. All comments must be postmarked or submitted by Monday, March 9, 2020 to be part of the official public hearing record.
Draft study documents and other pertinent information depicting the project’s recommendation will be available for review from Thursday, February 6, 2020 to Monday, March 9, 2020, during hours of operation at the following locations and on the project website, www.improvesimpsonroad.com.
