State Road 10 (U.S. 90) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study: Financial Project Identification Numbers: 220436-2-22-01 & 220436-3-22-01. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing concerning the PD&E study for widening of U.S. 90 beginning at U.S. 90 (Scenic Highway) in Escambia County and continuing to Glover Lane in Santa Rosa County, a length of approximately 11 miles. This hearing is being held to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed project. It is also being held to receive input on reclassification of U.S. 90 from west of Chumuckla Highway/Floridatown Road to west of West Spencer Field Road from Access Class 6 to Access Class 5. The intent of this project is to widen the roadway from a four to six lane divided roadway and make access management modifications. Right-of-way acquisition will be required. The project is currently not funded for design, right-of-way, nor construction in the FDOT Five Year Work program. Draft study documents and other information depicting the proposed improvements will be available for public review at the hearing and during regular business hours from February 1, 2018 through March 5, 2018 at FDOT’s Milton Operations Center, 6025 Old Bagdad Highway, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
