The department is holding a third workshop on rulemaking to adopt the California emissions standards for new motor vehicles pursuant to section 177 of the federal Clean Air Act. The department proposes to create new rule Chapter 62-285, F.A.C., Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction, and develop new rule section 62-285.400, F.A.C., Adoption of California Motor Vehicle Emissions Standards, to accomplish this purpose. The notice of rule development was published July 27, 2007. The purpose of this workshop is to offer rule proposals and to present an opportunity for interested persons to provide comments and recommendations to the department as we continue this rulemaking process.
