This proposed amendment adds clarity to s. 1003.42(2)(t) by requiring high school students enrolled in the United States Government classes to receive instruction on the victims of communism beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. The required instruction must include the following topics: 1. Mao Zedong and the Cultural Revolution; 2. Joseph Stalin and the Soviet System; 3. Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution; 4. Vladimir Lenin and the Russian Revolution; 5. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge; and 6. Nicolás Maduro and the Chavismo movement.
