The Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) announces its monthly calendar of meetings. The TBARTA Board and its advisory committees will meet to discuss the development and implementation of regional transportation solutions. The TBARTA Board will meet on Friday, April 24, 2009. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven Office, 11201 N. McKinley Drive, Tampa, FL. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss developing a comprehensive Regional Transportation Master Plan for Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties. The Transit Management Committee (TMC) will meet on Wednesday April 15, 10:00 a.m. at the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA), 3201 Scherer Dr. in St. Petersburg. Consisting of representatives of the region’s transit and transportation agencies, this group advises the Board on the technical development of the Master Plan and its future implementation. The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) will meet on Wednesday, April 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the USF Connect Building, 3802 Spectrum Blvd. in Tampa. This group of volunteers provides region-oriented advice to the Board from a citizen’s perspective. Additional Board subcommittee meetings will be noticed on the TBARTA website. All meetings of the TBARTA Board and its advisory committees are open to the public. These meetings are being conducted pursuant to Section 120.525 Florida Statutes, and Title VI and Title VIII of the United States Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1968.
