Proposed changes include adding and modifying definitions that will provide clarity for preparation programs that align to the initial and continued approval process; changing the UCC by removing character-based classroom management and adding strategies and practices to support evidence-based content aligned to state standards and grading practices; listing criteria for utilizing a review by a nationally recognized accrediting entity for continued approval purposes; establishing a minimum number of hours of field experience in an Educator Preparation Institute Program; and revising the Annual Program Performance Report metrics.
