Purpose
The purpose and effect of this rule amendment is to address the timeline for initial ESE evaluations and to update the Parental Consent Form Instruction in Florida’s Access Points - Alternate Academic Achievement Standards (AP-AAAS) and Administration of the Statewide, Standardized Alternate Assessment including revisions to align the form with Rule 6A-1.0943, F.A.C., Statewide Assessment for Students with Disabilities, which was revised to include a definition for most significant cognitive disability and eligibility to be assessed on alternate academic achievement standards.
