This Public Hearing is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed widening of the northern portion of Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91) from SR 50/Clermont Interchange (Milepost 272) to the I-75/Turnpike Interchange (Milepost 309) (FPID 423375-1). The project is located in Orange, Lake and Sumter Counties. The primary purpose for this project is to provide additional capacity to meet future travel demand, improve safety by alleviating existing roadway and structural deficiencies along the corridor and shorten hurricane and emergency evacuation times. The proposed widening will include the introduction of dynamically priced express lanes along the corridor.
