NOTICE OF INTENTION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE SUWANNEE RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A PROPOSED EMERGENCY RULE: Notice is given of the intention of the Governing Board of the Suwannee River Water Management District to consider the adoption of a proposed emergency rule during the meeting notice herein. The relevant information concerning the proposed emergency rule is as follows: RULE NO.: 40BER 17-01 RULE TITLE: Minimum Flows for Falmouth Spring, Lafayette Blue Spring, Peacock Springs and Troy Spring. SUMMARY OF THE EMERGENCY RULE: The proposed emergency rule will temporarily establish minimum flows for Falmouth Spring, Lafayette Blue Spring, Peacock Springs and Troy Spring which are Outstanding Florida Springs, pursuant to the mandate of Section 373.042, Florida Statutes. As with all minimum flows established by the District, if adopted, the minimum flows in the proposed emergency rule would be used as a basis for imposing limitations on withdrawals of groundwater and surface water in the consumptive use permit regulatory process and for reviewing proposed surface water management systems in the environmental resource permit regulatory process. NOTICE: All interested parties may appear at the above meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed emergency rule. The proposed emergency rule may be modified at the above meeting.
