Adult Day Training and Employment-Related Waiver Services Forum and Focus Group
The Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) and a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services-contracted technical assistance provider, New Editions, are working to increase opportunities for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities to access competitive community employment. To achieve this objective, APD is soliciting input from stakeholders, including self-advocates, family members, guardians, providers, APD, and other state agencies. To begin the process, APD is inviting stakeholders to provide input at a forum about adult day training and employment-related waiver services in Tallahassee on Thursday, May 23, 2019. The forum will be held at the Betty Easley Conference Center, 4075 Esplanade Way, Conference Room 152, from 9:30 through 11:30 a.m. A focus group meeting is scheduled for the same day in the same location from 12:30 through 3:00 p.m.
A WebEx is scheduled for this event with limited access (listen only). The WebEx registration information will be posted Monday, May 20, 2019 on the APD Internet at http://apd.myflorida.com.
