DOCKET NO. 080677-EI – Petition for increase in rates by Florida Power & Light Company. The purpose of this customer service hearing is to take testimony from the public on the quality and adequacy of Florida Power & Light Company’s service and other matters related to Florida Power & Light Company’s petition for a rate increase. The procedure at the service hearing shall be as follows: The Company will present a brief summary of its case and then members of the public may present testimony. Members of the public who wish to present testimony are urged to appear promptly at each scheduled hearing time since the hearing may be adjourned early if no witnesses are present to testify. All witnesses shall be subject to cross-examination at the conclusion of their testimony. One or more of the Commissioners of the Florida Public Service Commission may attend and participate in the meeting. Emergency Cancellation of Customer Service Hearing: If a named storm or other disaster requires cancellation of the customer service hearing, Commission staff will attempt to give timely, direct notice to parties. Notice of cancellation of the meeting will also be provided on the Commission’s website http://www.psc.state.fl.us/ under the Hot Topics link found on the home page.
