The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting to give interested persons the opportunity to view plans and project materials depicting the improvements. The meeting will be an open house format from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. where people can ask questions and provide comments to FDOT representatives in a one-on-one setting. There will be no formal presentation. Project information and displays will describe the proposed design for a new rail bridge over Interstate-4 (I-4/SR 400) which will replace the existing CSXT railroad bridge in Polk County. The new bridge will be constructed adjacent to the existing bridge. No right of way is anticipated for this project. No significant impacts are expected to the motoring public and the active rail line. Financial Project ID Number: 201217-8-32-01.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
