The purpose of this proposed rule making is to update department rules regarding the use of x-rays in the healing arts; to establish provisions for the use of hand-held dental x-ray units; to correct the numbering of Rule 64E-5.210, F.A.C.; and to update fees for environmental monitoring, inspections of low-level radioactive waste transportation shipments, and radioactive materials licenses. The effect will be to allow for the use of hand-held dental x-ray units; to clarify the requirements of x-ray use in the healing arts; and to cover the department’s operational costs.
