Purpose
To amend Rules 40E-3.021, 40E-3.036, 40E-3.038, 40E-3.101, 40E-3.411, 40E-3.507, 40E-3.512, 40E-3.517, and 40E-3.521, F.A.C., and to create new rules, Rule 40E-3.600, F.A.C., Scope of Part VI, and Rule 40E-3.601, F.A.C., General Permit for Water Wells within a Portion of southern Miami-Dade County, in order to incorporate construction standards and forms adopted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). New Rule 40E-3.600 will set forth the scope of Part VI in regard to the granting of general permits for certain specified well construction, repair or abandonment activities which have been determined by the District to exist in unique geographic areas, and new Rule 40E-3.601, F.A.C., will set forth requirements for general permits for agricultural wells in a specified portion of southern Miami-Dade County that are 25 feet or less in depth. Rule 40E-3.601, F.A.C., will also provide a legal description of the specified portion of southern Miami-Dade County and an updated map depicting the specified area (Figure 3-1).
