The Florida Department of Transportation, District 7 in cooperation with Dade City and the Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization, will be holding a Kick-Off Meeting for elected officials, agency representatives and other interested parties within the study limits. The purpose of the study is to identify improvements to determine the feasibility of realigning the US 301 and US 98 intersection which is currently located approximately 1,600 feet south of the intersection of US 301/US 98 and Clinton Avenue in Pasco County. The study will identify suitable improvements that: eliminate the current intersection offset of US 301, US 98 at US 301, and Clinton Avenue; facilitate east/west traffic movement; maximize current Clinton Avenue investments; and address safety issues. At the Kick-Off Meeting, the study team will provide an overview of the study process and project schedule and will work cooperatively with attendees to identify community goals and preferences in the project study area.
