The purpose of this rule amendment is to incorporate by reference update April 2008 to the Florida Medicaid Federally Qualified Health Center Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook. The handbook was updated to add the range of codes for billing administration of vaccines to Medicaid recipients from birth to 18 years of age and to add an immunization code for an “unlisted vaccine.” The update corrects the codes for tetanus and diphtheria vaccine, preservative free, and tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis vaccine. The update also replaces “Norplant Kit” with “Implanon.” The effect will be to incorporate by reference in the rule update April 2008 to the Florida Medicaid Federally Qualified Health Center Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook.
