Summary

Rule 69B-220.001, F.A.C., is amended to repeal rules that provide for the licensing of emergency public adjusters and to require that adjuster license applications be submitted electronically through the Department’s website instead of by submission of paper applications. All three rules are amended to change Office of Insurance Regulation to Department of Financial Services to reflect legislation adopted in 2004 that made the same changes in the statutes that regulate adjusters. Rule 69B-220.201, F.A.C., is amended to provide new ethical requirements for public adjusters to follow after a disaster creates a state of emergency.
