The proposed rule amendments update and add definitions used in the HIV/AIDS patient care programs, including updating the referenced federal poverty income guidelines and the county median income limits used to define “low income” for clients applying for HIV/AIDS patient care programs and clarifies the definitions of “household size” and “household income.” This rule change also allows Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part B providers to accept a notice of eligibility from a Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part A provider as documentation of a client meeting certain eligibility requirements to receive Part B services.
