The purpose of the amendment to Rule 59G-6.020, F.A.C., is to incorporate by reference the Title XIX Inpatient Hospital Reimbursement Plan (the Plan), effective July 1, 2012. The rule will update the Plan to reflect changes authorized in House Bill 5001, 2012-13 General Appropriations Act, Specific Appropriation 193, which provides for hospital buy backs, exemptions from ceilings, and a rate reduction. In addition, the act provides a new date after which changes in providers’ rates will not be allowed; specifically, the date will be changed from September 30 to October 31 of each year. Finally, references to the “Bureau of Medicaid Program Analysis” will be changed to the “Bureau of Medicaid Program Finance”.
