This Public Information Meeting is being held to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the design of Central Polk Parkway, a new tolled roadway from Polk Parkway (SR 570) at Winter Lake Road (SR 540) to US 17 (SR 35) in Polk County, Florida (Financial Project Identification Number 440897-2 and Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) Number 8487). The meeting will be an informal open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be no formal presentation. During the open house, project information will include displays that describe the proposed improvements and interested persons will have an opportunity to provide comments. Information about right of way needs and potential environmental impacts will be on display. The project will be evaluated in accordance with Federal Executive Orders 11990 (Protection of Wetlands) and 11988 (Floodplain Management). Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
