This hearing is being held as part of a current Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study that is being conducted to evaluate proposed transportation solutions for the proposed corridor. A major focal point of this study will be the 9th Avenue/Langley Avenue/Tippen Avenue intersection. The purpose of the study is to reach a decision on the type, design, and location of a of alternative routes to alleviate congestion and safety issues of the State Road ( S.R.) 289 (Ninth Avenue) Corridor, from Underwood Avenue to S.R. 742 (Creighton Road).
Maps, drawings, and other pertinent information developed by the County will be available for public inspection at Escambia County One Stop, 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola, Florida, weekdays from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m., beginning Tuesday, June 5, 2012, through Monday, June 25, 2012. Those who wish to submit written statements and other exhibits in place of, or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the hearing or by sending them to Mr. Jim Waite (address provided below), no later than July 3, 2012. All comments received by the County prior to July 3, 2012, will become a part of the public hearing record.
