Pursuant to section 120.54(7)(b), Florida Statutes, the Department of Elder Affairs announces a public hearing to discuss a Petition to Initiate Rulemaking filed with the Department by Douglas D. Adkins. The petition asks the Department to initiate rulemaking to implement, interpret or prescribe policies regarding section 429.28(1)(j), Florida Statutes, which states that every resident of an assisted living facility shall have the right to: “Access to adequate and appropriate healthcare consistent with established and recognized standards within the community.”
