Citizens Property Insurance Corporation has requested rate increases for the following Monroe County coverages: homeowners insurance and mobile home owners insurance. The proposed increases are 25.4% and 20.2%, respectively, and are applicable to policies that include coverage for wind. Florida law allows the Office of Insurance Regulation to hold a public hearing for any purpose within the scope of the Insurance Code deemed to be necessary.
