Project Description: Wabash Avenue Extension Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study
The City of Lakeland is holding a Public Hearing regarding the Wabash Avenue Extension PD&E Study in Lakeland, Florida. The PD&E Study is being conducted to evaluate the location, conceptual design; and social, economic, and environmental effects of the extension of Wabash Avenue from Harden Boulevard to Ariana Street, a distance of approximately 2.6 miles. This project is shown in the Polk Transportation Planning Organization’s Cost Feasible Plan through construction.
This Public Hearing is being conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location; conceptual design; and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements and in accordance with Federal Executive Orders 11990 and 11988.
Project documentation is available for public review between July 11 and August 1, 2013 at the City of Lakeland Public Works Department from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays at 228 S. Massachusetts Avenue Lakeland, Florida, 33801. These materials will also be available at the Hearing. Persons desiring to submit written statements and other exhibits in place of, or in addition to oral statements may do so at the Public Hearing, or by sending them to Mr. Greg Moore, 941 Lake Baldwin Lane, Orlando, FL 32814, or by e-mail to gmoore@drmp.com. All exhibits or statements postmarked no later than August 15, 2013 will become a part of the official Public Hearing record.
A flyer describing the recommended improvements will be distributed at the Hearing.
