Summary
This rule will incorporate revisions to the Florida Boating Improvement Program Guidelines and Application form. The substantive changes include eliminating multiple application forms for different types of projects and creating a single streamlined application form, changing the minimum number and makeup of grant application evaluators, providing that applicants shall be ineligible for funding if they have adopted ordinances or rules that allow swimming or other activities that prohibit the launching of vessels in public boat ramps, renaming “Rural Areas of Critical Economic Concern” to “Rural Areas of Opportunity” in compliance with the law change in 2014, bringing applicant records retention requirements into compliance with state law, requiring grant recipients to provide monthly project progress report updates, and providing additional clarifying information and definitions.
