This public meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn about the Beulah Beltway Alternative Corridor Evaluation Study findings. The proposed Beulah Beltway project is a new four-lane divided high speed controlled or limited access arterial highway, on a combination of existing and new alignment, that would connect US 90A/SR 10 (West Nine Mile Road) with US 29/SR 95 and provide a new interchange at I-10 in Escambia County, Florida. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format to allow the public the opportunity to review maps and other information on display. In addition, there will be a slide show presentation running continuously throughout the meeting. Representatives from Escambia County and its consultant for the project will be available to explain the proposed improvements, the study process, and to answer questions. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
