The purpose of the amendment to Rule 59G-4.330 is to incorporate by reference the Florida Medicaid Non-Emergency Transportation Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook, __________. A revision of the handbook is necessary to: (1) provide up-to-date guidance on non-emergency transportation services; (2) define available modes of transportation; (3) update rules relating to Medicaid foster parents and medical escorts; (4) modify the procedure for transporting Baker Act recipients; (5) update policy related to travel expenses; and (6) to change the title of the rule to Non-Emergency Transportation Services.
