Draft metadata standard will be developed for the Biological Measurement scientific discipline. This is a continuation of workshops carried out by the Florida Water Resources Monitoring Council in support of the Florida Oceans and Coastal Council’s Integrated Data Management (IDM) program for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Total Maximum Daily Load Program to define and document metadata elements. The goal is improved storage, sharing, and assessment of research and monitoring data.
