Water well contractors are licensed by the Department of Environmental Protection and the water management districts. Water well contractors are required to renew their licenses every two years. License renewals occur during June/July of every odd-numbered year. As part of the District's new Water Management Information System (WMIS) initiative, all future applications for water well contractor licenses and renewal of licenses will be accessible to the public through WMIS. For this reason, changes to the existing license renewal form are necessary to remove certain information (driver's license number and date of birth) that should remain private. The well contractor license renewal form is further revised to include a certification of responsibility when acting as an agent for a property owner, thereby eliminating the need for a separate certification form. subsection 40D-1.659(2), F.A.C., is amended to reflect the date of adoption of the revised form.
