Rule development will address estuary-specific numeric nutrient standards for total nitrogen and total phosphorus for the following Panhandle estuaries: Perdido Bay, Pensacola Bay (including Escambia Bay), Choctawhatchee Bay, St. Andrews Bay, St. Joseph’s Bay, and Apalachicola Bay. The Pensacola workshop will cover the Perdido Bay, Pensacola Bay (including Escambia Bay) and Choctawhatchee Bay estuaries. The Panama City workshop will cover the St. Andrews Bay, St. Joseph’s Bay, and Apalachicola Bay estuaries. These public workshops were previously scheduled for June 26 and 27, 2012, but were postponed due to Tropical Storm Debby.
