The project is located at 2700 Wiles Road, Pompano Beach, Florida, 33073, in the county of Broward. The facility will construct and operationally test a non-hazardous Class I injection well system, consisting of one injection well (IW-1), for the disposal of leachate and gas condensate from the Monarch Hill Landfill. The maximum permitted capacity of the injection well will be based on the rate at which the injection test is run, but will not exceed 2.76 million gallons per day. The open hole injection interval is proposed to be completed into the lower Floridan aquifer from 3,000 to 3,500 feet below land surface (bls).
