Federal regulations related to the Department of Health and Human Services funding requests require states, such as Florida, that are applying for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program funding to prepare a State Plan as part of the application process. Another part of this process is providing the public an opportunity to review and comment on the contents of the State Plan.
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is holding a public hearing on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, to receive comments regarding the State of Florida’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) State Plan.
If a person decides to appeal any decision of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity with respect to any matter considered at the public meeting, he or she will need a record of the proceeding, and for such purposes he or she may need to ensure that a record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
