Purpose

Chapter 440, F.S., as amended by Chapter 2013-141, Laws of Florida, eliminates the requirement that workers’ compensation health care providers be certified by the Department of Financial Services. Rule Chapter 69L-29, F.A.C., focuses exclusively on the process by which health care providers become certified to provide medical services to injured employees under Chapter 440, F.S. With the elimination of the certification requirement for health care providers under Florida’s workers’ compensation system, Rule Chapter 69L-29, F.A.C., is made obsolete and is repealed.
