The purpose of this proposed new rule is to establish concordant passing scores for the Grade 10 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) 2.0 Reading assessment and a comparative passing score for the Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) Assessment pursuant to the requirements of Section 1008.22, Florida Statutes. By the authority of this rule, students who have not passed the Grade 10 FCAT 2.0 Reading assessment or the Algebra 1 EOC Assessment, who are required to pass as part of their graduation requirements, will have alternative methods for meeting these requirements.
