Financial Project ID Numbers: 435804-1-22-01 and 231932-1-22-01 Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) Numbers: 14180 and 14181 Project Description: Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies I-95 at SR 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange and I-95 at Gateway Boulevard Interchange in Palm Beach County A PD&E study is FDOT’s process to evaluate the social, economic and environmental impacts associated with a planned transportation improvement project. The purpose of this project is to enhance overall traffic operations at the existing interchanges of I-95 at Boynton Beach Boulevard and I-95 at Gateway Boulevard, by providing improvements to achieve acceptable traffic levels in the future, within the study limits. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT. The Public Hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. as an open house. A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a comment period. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits, in place of or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the hearing or by sending them to Mr. Thuc H. Le, PE, FDOT Project Manager, 3400 West Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. All exhibits or statements postmarked on or before September 8, 2017, will become part of the Public Hearing record. In the event the Public Hearing cannot be held on August 29, 2017, due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the same time and place. The project documents will be available to the public for review beginning on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, 3651 Quantum Boulevard, Boynton Beach, FL 33426 (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and the Boynton Beach City Library, 208 Seacrest Boulevard, Boynton Beach, FL 33435 (Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Friday and Sunday). The documents will remain on display through Friday, September 8, 2017. The documents will also be available for review on the website at www.95gatewayboynton.com.
