The South Florida Water Management District is committed to safeguarding and restoring water resources. This is a public workshop with an independent technical review panel for the District’s efforts related to improving water quality of discharges to Outstanding Florida Waters (OFW) within Collier-Seminole State Park, Rookery Bay Estuarine Research Reserve, and the Cape Romano – Ten Thousand Islands Aquatic Preserve. This workshop will include summaries of previous water quality studies and a review of literature and potential alternatives based on public and stakeholder feedback so far. The public and stakeholders are invited to attend to learn more and provide input for conventional and innovative biological, physical, and chemical treatment technologies to improve water quality for flows entering select Outstanding Florida Waters in Collier County. All of this workshop will be conducted via media technology. One or more members of the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend this workshop.
