This is a public meeting of a Technical Advisory Group that will advise the Department on possible changes to the compost rule, Chapter 62-709, Florida Administrative Code. The purpose of this meeting will be to review and develop rule language requiring registrations or general permits for compost facilities using yard trash, manure and vegetative food wastes as feedstocks to their processes. The rule language changes will also address proper operation of these facilities and any necessary testing requirements.
