The Agency for Health Care Administration in coordination with First Health Services of Florida, Inc. and the Department of Elder Affairs - Comprehensive Assessment and Review for Long Term Care Services (CARES) is hosting a training for all interested parties to discuss upcoming changes to the Florida Medicaid program that will allow any qualified provider licensed as either a private free-standing psychiatric hospital or public mental health hospital to apply to be a Medicaid psychiatric hospital inpatient service provider for persons aged sixty-five (65) and older in Institutions for Mental Disease (IMD), and the new prior authorization requirements for this service.
