Proposed amendments to Chapter 62-600, F.A.C., which contains requirements for the construction and operation of domestic wastewater facilities, were developed based on the provisions of Chapter 2020-150, Laws of Florida, to minimize sanitary sewer overflows from domestic wastewater facility collection/transmission systems. The revisions would establish requirements for power outage contingency plans; collection system assessment, repair, and replacement plans that include provisions for inflow, infiltration, and leakage studies, as well as other considerations related to minimizing sanitary sewer overflows; annual reporting requirements for pollution mitigation and the collection system assessment, repair, and replacement plans; annual progress reports for facilities subject to the elimination of non-beneficial surface water discharges under section 403.064(17), F.S., and for facility emergency response plans to address cybersecurity.
