Section 2403 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010 amends Section 6071 of the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005 and extends the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Rebalancing Demonstration from 2011 to 2016. This will allow States already participating in the MFP program to continue strengthening their demonstration programs and will allow additional States to participate. Florida Medicaid has submitted a letter of intent to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to apply for this Money Follows the Person grant. The primary purpose of this public meeting is to educate stakeholders and interested parties about Money Follows the Person grant, provide an overview of the grant and present an opportunity for public comment.
