6A-6.030121, The purpose is to update references. 6A-6.03018, The purpose is to update references and deletes obsolete language. 6A-6.03028, The purpose is to include revised IEP content and IEP team membership when a student is a student with a disability and is also identified as gifted. The proposed change adds factors that an IEP team must consider when addressing a student’s need for extended school year services. 6A-6.03313, The purpose is to include a statement that for students who are identified as gifted and as having a disability, the procedural safeguards of Rule 6A-6.03311 apply. 6A-6.030191, The purpose is to clarify that Educational Plans are for those students who are “solely gifted” and the needs of students who are “twice exceptional” must be addressed in an IEP. 6A-6.0334, The purpose is to establish requirements with regard to the convening of an IEP team meeting when a student is not considered appropriate for a full-time virtual program. The proposed rule makes provision for use of a gifted plan or corresponding documentation from an out-of-state district, when a student who has been determined to be gifted in another state moves to Florida.
