This general public meeting is for interested stakeholders to discuss with the Department issues related to development of a nutrient total maximum daily load (TMDL) for Lake Tallavana in the Ochlockonee River basin. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the Department to present a general approach for developing the nutrient TMDL and receive feedback from local stakeholders. Furthermore, upon paragraph 62-302.531(2)(a), F.A.C., becoming effective, the Department intends for this nutrient TMDL to constitute a site specific numeric interpretation of the narrative nutrient criterion set forth in paragraph 62-302.530(47)(b), F.A.C., that will supersede the otherwise applicable numeric nutrient criteria in paragraph 62-302.531 for the particular surface water segment.
