The purpose of this rule development is to conform to new provisions of Section 409.1451, Florida Statutes, which was amended during the 2013 Legislative Session. The effect will be to rename this chapter; a significant modification to the existing Road to Independence Program, to be called “Post-Secondary Education Services and Support for Young Adults Formerly in Licensed Foster Care”; modification to Aftercare Services; and the repeal of the Transitional Support Services Program. All existing language in this rule will be repealed. The Department intends to rename the chapter to "Road-to-Independence Program."
