The Department of Elder Affairs announces the convening of rulemaking proceedings to implement, interpret or prescribe policies regarding section 429.28(1)(j), Florida Statutes, which states that every resident of an assisted living facility shall have the right to: “Access to adequate and appropriate healthcare consistent with established and recognized standards within the community” and section 429.28(1)(a), Florida Statutes, which states that every resident of an assisted living facility shall have the right to: "Live in a safe and decent living environment, free from abuse and neglect."
