Purpose


The purpose of the proposed new rules is to establish the requirements for carbon monoxide sensor devices as required under subsection 509.211(4), F.S., for public lodging establishments that contain a boiler regulated under Chapter 554, F.S. Rule 69A-70.005, F.A.C., will adopt the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code, NFPA-720-2015 edition, as the standard for carbon monoxide detectors in spaces or rooms of public lodging establishments that contain a boiler regulated under Chapter 554, F.S. Rule 69A-70.010, F.A.C., additionally requires labeling and compliance with Underwriters Laboratories, Standard 2017. An installation certification process is also imposed.
