Rules 69W-600.002 and 69W-600.006, F.A.C., are being amended to reduce fingerprint processing fees from $47 to $42.25. The current fee of $47 represents $23 charged by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for a state criminal history check and $24 charged by the U.S. Department of Justice for a national criminal history check. The U.S. Department of Justice will be reducing its fee from $24 to $19.25. Therefore, the rules are being amended to reduce fingerprint processing fees from $47 to $42.25. Rule 69W-600.002, F.A.C., is also being amended to reflect the statutory fee increase for registration of associated persons that took effect July 1, 2007. Section 517.12, Florida Statutes, was amended to increase the fee from $30 to $50.
